All of the metal fitting profile shapes
have been redrawn onto CAD software using the exact dimensions from Lynn
William’s original drawings. Using
the Water
Jet Cutting process, the profiles are cut from sheets of 4130 aircraft
grade steel including all of the bolt and lightening holes to a tolerance
of 0.1mm. Unlike laser cutting,
water jet cutting leaves no hardened edge which can propagate cracks, an
inherent problem with the laser cutting process.
Wing and fuselage kits are available
separately and in five different stages of completion to suit your
requirement:
- Drawings
only, showing all dimensions, cutting, bending and welding
information. Consists of 125 A4 size drawings in a bound set covering
entire airframe including cabane, undercarriage and control column
assemblies making a compact and convenient workshop reference.
- Cut,
flat profiles
- Cut,
flat profiles with all the bolt holes reamed to size and all of the
bending carried out.
- Cut,
flat profiles with all the bolt holes reamed to size and all of the
bending carried out. All
Welding carried out.
- As
above and with all fittings Black Electrophoretic
Painted (black EP) to permanently inhibit corrosion
with a very hard and surface.
A copy of the Certificate of conformity
for the Aircraft grade steel is sent with each order.
All fitting kits are supplied with the
full set of dimensioned CAD drawings showing bending and welding details.
